Bulalacao offers the best watersports selection in the Philippines because it is uniquely positioned at the southeast tip of Mindoro Island: Bulalacao enjoys both the northeast monsoon (Amihan - October to April) and the southwest monsoon (Habagat - May to September); Bulalacao's waters are flushed daily by the thrust of clear, nutrient-rich ocean currents as the Pacific Ocean forces its way through the islands of the Visayas on its journey to the South China Sea. The only thing that Bulalacao does not have today (although it soon will have) is a surfeit of watersports equipment rental service providers, so be prepared to bring your own sports gear and equipment. Bulalacao offers the best windsurfing and kiteboarding, scuba diving and snorkeling, sailing and kayaking experience in the Philippines, and during the Amihan it becomes a superb wakeboarding venue.
